Today Me and Chiara tpye up a letter about the Wii Console and sent the letter to Bridget by email.
Wayne and me and Chiara looked on the internet to find out where they sell Wii Consoles and we write down the prices of how much they cost.

Hi Wayne, Mark, Chiara, Kirsti and Hugh
Many thanks for your email and apologies for not being in touch sooner. I have been getting some stuff together for you but had not got round to sending it off.
Congratulations on finding out how many people will use the Wii fit. It will certainly make it easier for you to ask for money if lots of people are going to use it.
Can I answer your questions about the letter?
1.- My advice would be that it is really important that you send the letter to a named person not to “Dear Sir or Madam”. I think they would be much more likely to read it if it was addressed directly to them.
2. In your letter you do not mention that Papworth Trust is a “voluntary organisation” or a “charity” and you also do not mention that Papworth Trust supports people who may have disabilities/impairments. I completely understand that you may not want to include this information in your letter but my advice is that you are more likely to get the money if you do mention these things.
What you could say is “We are clients from Papworth Trust, a voluntary sector organisation which works with people who have disabilities or impairments, in Museum Street in Ipswich Suffolk”
3. When you write “work as a term” I think you mean “work as a team”.
4. When you write “We need £250 to get the Wii Fit and hope to raise £100, if you could help us raise the other £150 it would be appreciated.” I am worried that they may not fully understand what you are asking. Can I suggest that you it might be better to say “We need £250 to get the Wii Fit and hope to raise £100, if you could help us by making a donation towards the other £150 it would be appreciated.”
I hope this is useful.
On the other things that I have been doing, this is just to let you know that I have found an organisation called the Suffolk Foundation which gives grants of up to £500 to voluntary sector organisations. The application process is quite easy but there is a deadline of FRIDAY 3RD JULY to get the form in. Am not sure how you would want to work this - but if you would like to have a look at the form on http://www.suffolkfoundation.org.uk/grant/grant.html ( you will need to cut and paste the link) then get in touch and we can figure out whether it would be better for me to fill in some bits of the form or whether the best way would be to do it over the BLOG,
please let me know what you think,
Bridget Orchard
