chrismas carole service

As we all know christmas is coming up and it is the time of year for us to remember and spend time with our loved ones. Some of the clients from the centre thought they would get into the christmas spirit by attending A carol service at the st mary at the elms church in Ipswich.

Maddy has got such a fantastic voice that we have already sent her audition tape into Simon Cowell for the dreaded verdict. LOL

Papworth volunteers are responsible for an area of the park by the gate on Fonereaux Road. We raised money to buy plants by running a treasure hunt and how we are planting them. I was wondering about wether we should put a line of fence into the soil. Twigs with abit of string on, so we know which area of the bed is ours we planted.

Working at the park. Friday a.m

I work with Maddy and another group on a Friday mornings but if the weather is bad, I had to find some pictures from the internet and describe about what each tool is used for.
I work normaly in the park where Tower Ramparts is in Ipswich and I plant a few plants in the raised beds.

Today the computer kept on not working which was not good. The new ones down stairs are much better and quicker.
We sorted out the blogs and added them to the desk top.

I think people will hopeful go and have a look on the blog and leave a comment.

Going In and Out

Today I filled in a questionnaire about the night actives and went to deliver some books round Ipswich and then I filled in another forum and then we deliver the forum then we came back and logged into the blog
And type up what we did today.

We filled out an evening activies question sheet then we delivered some ip1 magazines and we took a letter to ip1 it was our volunteer application form.

i thought it was very exciting and i went in the shops and i delivered magazines without any help.

Wednesday Lesson

Today we went for a walk to look in shops for a newspaper and check the price of it and Phil got some money out in a bank and then we went into a shop and Phil sorted something with a man then we went back to Papworth and talked about the credit crush then type up some money saving tips.

Money Saving tips and Ideas!

1. Turn off computers so they don’t loose electric and explode or go warm

2. Turn off the TV when not watching it to save electric

3. Turn off lights so you don’t waste electric and buy energy bulbs

4. Cut down things you don’t need

5. Make sure you buy cheap products

6. Turn down the heating or put on a jumper

7. Use a bus pass so you don’t waste your money by bus tickets

8. Repair clothes by sowing instead of buying new

9. Have a shower and not a bath so you save money from water and keep running so you get cold water or let it run over the bath

We went on a walk to Crown Pools Swimming Pools and we went inside and Mark asked a lady for some info on a I- Card then we went walked back to Papworth and Phil talked to me and Mark about the I-Card and how you can use it then Mark did a search on the internet and looked for discounts and then I set up a blog for the Client Committee and then set up a blog for the Community group on a Wednesday Afternoon.
